another friday

We just got a batch of parts back from the platers. The parts come back all connected with wire, so it's a long process to work them all free.

A lot of pretty parts now.

This is like break time for Kevin. He actually is sitting down in an air conditioned room right now!

We use clamps called "geze clamps" on our race cars. They are usually used to latch down the tail of a car. These clamps are so rare that we had to have all the small parts individually made, and then we have to assemble them ourselves. Not a simple process.

Bret got elected to assemble this batch of clamps.

What's a mechanic without his hammer?

Here are some of the individual parts that create the geze clamp.

more pieces that go into the assembly process

These are now ready to send to Germany.

Ta da!

Andy is having fun getting good old fashioned "mechanic greasy" today!

911 treasures, or just more junk?

This is Fran's Elvis sneer. She hasn't been very friendly lately. Only coming around for food and a little more jumpy than usual. Hopefully she'll calm down over the weekend when there isn't as much activity around here.
