917 restoration - post #14 - from sandblasting to the frame table

The chassis is now sitting on the frame table,
but before it got here...


Kevin had to do a lot of sandblasting...he used
32 fifty-five pound bags of 65 grade silica sand.

And then some more grinding.
Here he is grinding away all the old repairs
on the apron between the doors and the tail.


See him in there...
still grinding!


The car is upside down & this is what the underside of the roof
looked like just before the car was flipped back over.


Bret and Kevin carry it to...

the frame table where Bret gets to work on it.

Frame air pressure gauge
to check the chassis tubing for leaks.

Bret has started to repair the left side
of the frame for the luggage tray.

The level is laying on the tail so we can make
sure the tail is level to the chassis.
