Now that the test is over, Kevin has to finish up a few things on the 962 tail.
Pretty hectic around here this week getting ready to race in Atlanta.
Our graphics guy, Dave, has just applied new vinyl to the 914.
We let Bruce out to enjoy the sunshine for a few minutes today. He's not too happy to be locked back up in the office right now, but we need him to heal all the way before we let him out whenever he wants.
Our graphics guy came last night and started applying the graphics. He just finished up and the car looks GREAT!! The minutes are counting down... we have to be at the track in 2-1/2 hrs. to test the car
I just picked Bruce up from Animal Control and he's officially ours, because we adopted him. His wound is still healing, but he's had his shots and is neutered now, so hopefully he'll be content to just hang with us and be a boring old shop cat.
We just listed this Hudson on ebay, but before we put any work into it, we wanted to make sure there was interest. Well, there is, so now we have to put a spit shine on the old guy. The problem is that this car was customized and there are no door handles or door locks on the outside of the car to open the doors. There is actually a secret button in the grill of the front of the car that activates the doors when you push it. Only, the car battery is dead, so the button won't activate anything. We've got a new battery coming, but the car detailer who works next door, can take the car right now if we can get it over there.
hum...what should we do next?
Bret has inserted a wire through the window and is trying to roll down the window so he can get his arm in to unlock the door.
Success...Kevin and Andy are now taking the car next door to get detailed.
Yesterday, Bruce came by just as I was leaving work for the day. He seemed to be starving, so I opened him a can of food, which he inhaled. Just as he finished eating, I noticed that he was injured. There was a big hunk missing from his right hind section. I took him in and will find out at 2pm today what the verdict is. Is he repairable...we certainly hope so!
Here's to Bruce...hope you're feeling better soon!
