917 restoration - post #9 - sandblasting

Kevin has been busy grinding and sandblasting the 917 today.
He just turned it on its side to start on the bottom.

Our "hat of the day" is from Lee Giannone.
His favorite hat is the "
Early 911S Registry"

Kevin has uncovered paint striping on the right fender
which proves that this area is part of the original car.

If you watch Part 10 of our 917 youtubes, Kevin will explain.

Here is a more detailed shot.

and it's back to sandblasting again...

and now more grinding...
Kevin is having some FUN today!

Aaaaat Laaaaast !
What an awfull waiting ! This is the most captivating feuilleton i ever followed.
Kevin seem to be 100% ready for hollywood , acting as good as he grind cars.....except some weakness in french pronunciation ( just try " MAY-ZON BLAAM-SHEU " , could sound better...maybe ).
Please not another 2 months of delay for the next chapter , i won't resist !

One milllion thanks for the good mood embedded in all this superb work.

This is great stuff !! I scratchbuild large scale models of these cars in metal using the same mediums as the real cars , I just wish I lived in your part of the world so as I could drop in and pay you a visit and measure and perhaps take some photos it would make life soo much easier!
Well done Kevin Beautiful work.
